Yum, Turkey!
Oh my goodness after driving for 9!! hours my brother and I finally got home on Wednesday night. After I saw my parents and my cat, my bro and I went and saw a friend from high school and our former youth pastor. We ended up going to Denny's and having some good ole' breakfast. The only thing I didn't like was the whole place smelled like grease. When my brother and I left you could smell the grease in our clothes. Yuck. Then finally we came home and went to bed.
Thanksgiving Day I woke up pretty late, approximately 11 AM. Unfortunately after I showered and everything I found out that my grandmother wasn't feeling well so we were unable to have dinner with my grandparents. I still got to see them that day. We didn't end up eating till about 4 so I was definitely hungry. It was good to have all of those wonderful fixings. Later that night my brother and I went to play pool with a friend of ours since my brother would not be able to see him any other time. When we finished playing pool I dropped my brother off at home and then I went to Walmart Supercenter. Yes, Walmart Supercenter was open on Thanksgiving Day. LOL. I picked up a copy of all of the Chronicles of Narnia books in one. I decided yesterday that I would make an attempt at reading the books before the movies come out. After reading the first chapter of the first book I am alrighty anxious to find out what happens next. Since yesterday was Turkey Day I decided I'll name off things I'm thankful for (not necessarily in order of importance).
- Jesus paying the ULTIMATE sacrifice by dieing on the cross for my sins and God's saving grace
- My wonderful family
- All of my new friends at FSU especially my closest friends Aloysious, Amanda, and Nik who have been an awesome influence on my walk with Jesus and also all the Unveiled people
- All of the veterans of the United States who have fought for freedom and the current troops
- Being blessed with such a great country, The United States
- One letter, W, who stands up for what he believes in no matter what others may say
- Being able to attend such a beautiful university
- All of my current and past mentors
- and many, many more
On Friday I wasn't very productive besides getting a haircut and doing lawnwork. Most of the day I spent my time relaxing and eating leftovers. I also wrote this blog.
I am very anxious to go to Disney both in December and in January. I also can't wait for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe to come out in theaters early December. It's going to be soo sweet. Yes! Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day and I hope everyone has a great time the rest of the long weekend!
See everyone Monday (or Sunday)!
God Bless
