Wow!

After hearing the message tonight at Unveiled I'm amazed. One of the many questions we ask as humans is, why? Why would God choose to destroy hundreds of thousands of human lives through natural disaster? Well the answer is simpler than we think. While many ask why God would do such a thing the better question we should be asking is why not? Andy Stanley explained it all goes back to Genesis 1. When God created the earth and the universe everything was good. That's why God is good. Then, when Adam and Eve sinned, everything, literally everything was cursed. When they sinned they knew good and evil. God lays it down pretty hard on us all. Even the ground was cursed. This was much like when I heard Louie Giglio explain the story of Joseph two weeks ago. Both of these times it just made so much more sense to me. So the reason natural disaster happens is because we are cursed. So instead we should be thankful of the days that God gives us. If you look in the Bible there are many instances when God uses natural disaster to get the point across. The flood, plagues against Egypt, the earthquake after Jesus' crucifixion, and the list goes on. It all points to the fact that God is good and sin is bad. This message tonight had such a profound effect on me. After hearing both of these messages I really want to hear Andy and Louie in person now.

God Bless!
