Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! This was probably one of the most unusual nights for me in a long time. Not in the sense that anything bad happened, but the weather was weird. Tonight I went over to my friends house to ring in the New Year. It was really good to see old friends, finally. Some of the people I saw tonight I hadn't seen since Summer or even before that. The weird part was, as the night went on the fog got worse and worse. Everyone thought at first it was smoke from fireworks mixing in. By midnight, no one could see farther than 30 or 40 feet away. Then around 12:30 AM I drove home. Still thinking the fireworks were to blame for the dense fog, it soon became apparent that wasn't the case. I have never seen such thick fog in my life. As I left my friend's neighborhood I almost drove off the road when the painted lines dissappeared for an intersection. It was scary. When I made it to the main highway I couldn't even drive over 30 mph. Thanks be to God who was watching over me as I drove home. I can only pray that anyone who was drinking got home safely.
